ABOUT

The Elkhart Lion's Club is a group of citizens who are committed to serving and improving the local community. The club offers a scholarship program to help local students pursue higher education and enroll in the institution of their choice. The scholarship criteria include academic performance as well as the quality and quantity of service activities that the students have participated in.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

The selection committee is composed of active Elkhart Lions Club members who do not have any conflict of interest with the scholarship applicants.

THE SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT IS AT LEAST $500, WHICH WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO PAYMENTS OF $250 FOR EACH SEMESTER. THE STUDENT CAN CHOOSE ANY TYPE OF POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION, SUCH AS COLLEGE, JR COLLEGE, VO-TECH, BUSINESS SCHOOL, COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL, OR OTHER CAREER TRAINING PROGRAMS.

ELIGIBILITY

The student must be a graduating senior from the USD with a minimum cumulative GPA (through seven semesters) of 2.0. The scholarship must be used in the same year that it is awarded or it will be forfeited.
